The objective of this work was based on the requalification of the existing building of the Control and Transfer Post of Angeiras, located in Angeiras Fishing Port, Matosinhos.
The building has been designed to respond, at the time, to the requirements and regulations in force for handling, packaging, and sale of fish. Since then, the regulations have changed, the technical and functional requirements have evolved and the materials have suffered a natural degradation, facts that justify the need to carry out a set of requalification works.
The proposed interventions sought to maintain pre-existences as much as possible, respecting the original architectural and constructive design and, at the same time, to introduce the valorization factor, understood in an environmental, social and economic perspective.
The recommended solutions ensure high durability and ease of operation, both from the user's perspective and from maintenance and hygiene.
